Emergency

Please be praying for mother in law Cindy and my husband BJ. We were visiting Cindy Sunday out of town (about 2 hours from where we live) and she and BJ were horse back riding and she had a bad accident. She basically fell from the horse at a full gallop into a tree before hitting the ground. Its very serious, she might not make it. Please pray for full recovery and for God's mercy.

Also please pray for my husband, he was there when it happened, and not only saw the whole thing but had to work on his mother medically as a trained EMT/fireman befoe the helicopter got there to airlift her. His shirt was quite bloody when he left and the emotional trauma of that has to be fierce. I hurt so much for him.

Please also pray for me and my husband as we drive back and forth between the cities over the next few days until we see what will happen. Right now there is not a lot of brain activity and she is unconscious. She has a bruise on her brain, fractures all over her body including her spinal column, a failing right kidney, bruised lungs, etc. We are waiting to hear the rsults of this morning's second CT scan before we know more.

The doctor warned my husband and his sister they might have to make some hard decisions reg. life spport and other isses in the next few days and to be prepared for the worst. But I believe God is bigger than doctor's grave words and I pray He will show off in this situation as He's done countless times over the past.

Thank you for your prayers and support. I'll keep everyone posted but might not be blogging regularly this week, obviously.

Oh my goodness, Betsy! I am so very sorry! Please let BJ know that we are praying and you are right that God is bigger than any doctor's prognosis! I'm hoping everything turns out ok!

Praying for you dear one and so are my family and friends. I can't imagine how much this is hurting but I know how much you're loved and that Jesus loves us even more than that. I hope you can draw a little comfort from that.

Will be praying for all of you, particularly your mother-in-law and your husband. Hard enough to know about it, let alone witness it and have to medically work on her. God is the Great Physician.
