Missing Link? Or Missing Brains?

It's amazing to me the garbage presented as news these days. Take for instance, today's headliner in many areas - "MISSING LINK FOUND".

The first line of the article?

Feast your eyes on what a group of scientists call the Holy Grail of human evolution.

Notice how they tie in what they think is a religious reference to "proof" of evolution. That was on purpose, I am certain. The beauty of literary contradicting terms. It makes the headline mysterious, alluring, romantic - apparently trying to distract you from the fact that all they found is a really old fossil they can't accurately date.

It's shocking to me how people would rather believe in a concept like evolution than the Bible. Seriously, if you had the choice, would you prefer to believe a loving, all-knowing God created you for a purpose...or that we evolved over millions of years from a MONKEY?

If your answer is the second one, please quit reading my blog and go bang your head against the computer desk, stat, until your brain catches up to reason.

While any discovery of a "new" old species or bone or fossil is pretty neat, and certainly deserves its musuem-time and a celebratory drink between the scientists, its pathetic to claim this proves evolution. Nothing can prove evolution because EVOLUTION ISN'T TRUTH.

What do you guys all think of this new "discovery"?

I dunno...doesn't it kinda look like it's doing the "Thriller" dance? But, seriously...they're basing this on opposable thumbs? Thumbs???????? I think this grasping for answers and explanations is so, so very sad. How empty must your life be if you're trying to find the source of it in a fossil. Watch the movie "Expelled" with Ben Stiller and see the fear-based emptiness of evolution in play.

Don't you think it is exhausting trying to make a case for evolution? And the more they try to discover or unveil, the more silly they sound. Oh these people...we'll just have to pray for them.

PS - I grew up in Louisiana!

What happened to judge not lest ye be judged? Why not follow the teachings of Jesus? Why?

Anonymous - Thanks for your input.

I'm not judging anyone. I stated the truth. The Bible is truth, therefore evolution cannot be. Simple facts, no judging. =)

Do you personally know anyone who would rather be linked to an ape than Jesus? Probably not. =) And if you do, well, I suppose exceptions can exist anywhere.

Anyways, I'm grateful to live in a country where we can all freely express our opinions and debate them. Thanks for participating in the conversation.

I love these discussions! There is overwhelming scientific evidence against an old-earth, but sadly those voices aren't allowed a place at the public school table. Next week I'll be featuring a book called Living Fossils on this topic!

I heard a long talk on the radio about "scientists" who altered parts of fossils to prove the *theory* of evolution. Wish I could remember the speaker's name, but it's been years.

Missing Brains! That's my final answer.

Phew! Thank goodness there's a Christian secretary/admin assistant to wade through all the confusin' science & stuff & declare the theory of evolution (debated & explored & studied & accepted over 100+ yrs by 1,000's of scientists around the world) to be bunk.

Facts & science hurt ma poor little religious head... Lord Jesus, please make the science go away!!

Apparently if you accept science & the theory of evolution you aren't permitted to post a comment.

Even the Roman Catholic church accepts the science.

Anonymous,

Here's the difference. We were able to respond to you with respect. You're not treating us with the same.

Also, I must ask, if you feel so strongly about your beliefs, why hide behind the name Anonymous?
