Book giveaway!

I realized yesterday that I have an extra copy of Deb Raney's wonderfully moving novel, OVER THE WATERS. This is beautiful story, one I thoroughly enjoyed (hence why I'm not giving away my only copy. haha)

Deb is one of my favorite authors, a talented teacher, and a super sweet godly woman. So, in today's days of limited cash flow, I thought I could do someone a favor and pass on the wealth of words, and maybe bring Deb a new fan! =)

Here's the blurb for OVER THE WATERS:

As "Dr. Botox" to the bored rich women of Chicago, plastic surgeon Max Jordan was shocked by the decision of his son, Joshua, to focus his medical talent on Haitian orphans. Embittered by Joshua's death, Max searches for resolution in the very place his son called home. The selfless labor of Joshua's coworkers stuns Max. He is particularly taken by American volunteer Valerie Austin, whose dream of a honeymoon on a tropical beach were crushed, replaced by a stint working in the impoverished orphanage. But Valerie's view of Joshua's sacrifice challenges everything Max has lived for. Now Max wonders if he can ever return to his "Max-a-Million" lifestyle, or if the doors to his gilded cage have finally opened.

Sign up to win! I'll do a drawing first thing in the morning and post the winner. One catch - to enter, you have to leave a comment on this blog post, stating which books of Deb's you've read, and which was your favorite. If you haven't read any yet, then tell me why you hope to win this story.

Here's a link to Deb's website. Check out her other titles!

And I'll be checking my bookshelves again soon for any other duplicate book copies that have slipped me by. So stay tuned for more contests! =)

Thanks!

Hi, I haven't read hers yet only because I have a long list before her. But I do plan to read them, as they sound superb. By the way, is she Dennis Raney's wife? Daughter? I hope to win this book, as our budget is squeaky tight, as I'm not able to work because of disabilities.
Please enter my name to your contest. It may start me on her books out of line alphabetically.

Thank you.

I would love to win a copy of this book. I have yet to read any books by Deborah Raney and I just love finding new authors to add to my collection of books. I also love to find authors that I would continue to read. Sounds like a unique story idea!

Thanks,
Cindy

I've never read a Deb Raney book! Yikes!

Reasons I'd like to win this one:

The blurb sounds terrific.

Deb Raney lives about 30 miles from where I grew up. If only I had known then!

The love of the Lord and the love for the Lord just shines out of Deb's face and through all her actions.

I love to learn from the best, and reading Deb's book would teach me more about how to write great romance as well as how to walk closer with the Lord.

I have yet to read one of Deb's books. Love her writer's garden plot blog--so beautiful, as I imagine her stories are, too. I really should start adding her books to my TBR list.

Betsy, bless your heart for sharing my books with your friends! I told Betsy that I'd love to sweeten the deal by sending the winner of this book (a larger trade size novel) a copy of the new mass market edition that includes a brand new epilogue. You can read whichever book you like (just be sure to read the epilogue, which tells "the rest of the story") then pass the other book along to one of your friends. I'll also send a copy of my newly released novel, INSIGHT. (And Betsy gets a copy of that, too, as my way of saying thank you!)

To answer Linda's question, no, I'm not related to Dennis Rainey (we spell our names differently) but my husband and I are often confused for them––even in our own church where people will say, "we heard you guys on the radio yesterday!" ; ) Our names do SOUND alike: Dennis and Barbara Rainey and Kenneth and Deborah Raney. And Barbara and I even look a little bit alike.

Thanks to all of you for commenting on Betsy's blog and thank you for considering my books! I hope you enjoy them. (Thanks again, Betsy!)

I've never read any of her books, but I haven't read a good novel in awhile and I have been wanting too. This would be great!
