Hello friends!
I'm officially taking a hiatus from this blog for a while, to concentrate on my other blogs that right now, have my heart.
I'll be likely posting book reviews here from time to time still, though I hope to focus my book reviews eventually at www.writergetsreal.blogspot.com.
SO! That means...
You can find me 5 days a week at: www.writergetsreal.blogspot.com
You can find me every Wednesday at www.scribblechicks.blogspot.com
You can find me the 10th and the 24th at www.girlsgodgoodlife.blogspot.com
And you can find me the first Saturday of every month at Nicole O'Dell's CHOOSE NOW ministry, where I write a monthly column "On Good Girls". http://nicoleodell.com/2013/04/on-good-girls-get-out-of-way-already/ (most recent article)
Also, look for my frequent articles at www.ibelieve.com (a division of Crosswalk)
I'm still on FB and Twitter as well.
Blessings! :)
Welcome to my world of writing! It's an exciting place to be - a world of joy, laughter, tears, smiles, frustration, and other emotions too deep to touch. Writing is my offering, my sacrifice - and I know that I am exactly where God wants me to be.

Concert madness
So I just found out Hillsong United is coming to concert a few hours away from me in June, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to do whatever it takes to go!! AGGGH! Love them. The catch? Middle of the week. At 7 pm. 3 1/2 hours away. Hmmmm.
Who are your fav bands? Do you like Hillsong United?
Here's a taste of them if you haven't heard their stuff.

Debating...need opinions!
So I'm debating deleting this blog.
I hesitate, because this is where I post book reviews, and I can't stop doing that or else I wouldn't get free books anymore ;)
But my heart is over at www.writergetsreal.blogspot.com now, and I feel like I need to focus there. Plus my group blogging once a week at www.scribblechicks.blogspot.com and twice a month at www.girlsgodgoodlife.blogspot.com PLUS my monthly column for Nicole O'Dell's Choose Now ministry, PLUS my once a month (on average) articles for www.ibelieve.com - something's gotta give. lol
And uh yeah I didn't even mention these things I also do like raise a child practically alone, work full time, freelance, and write books ;) Suddenly this blog doesn't seem like much of a give-up!! snort. Hmmmm.
I feel like this blog has become random and filler and I hate to get rid of it, since I have the most followers here and its on my business cards and such. But I hardly ever get comments anymore, and I don't think I'm offering anything substantial here anyway, so I don't blame you.
It's hard to let go.
What do you guys think? (the few of you actually reading this! LOL!) Will you join me at www.writergetsreal.blogspot.com and come there regularly instead? For those already familiar with the heart of that blog, do you think posting book reviews there sometimes would be...offensive? Like, taking away from the heart of the blog? I don't want to do that.
Help! I just know I can't keep spreading myself so thin or I might disappear altogether.

Random update
A little excited today (and no, not because I got new shoes. I haven't yet, and it's truly sad) ;)
Anyway....it's because...
I'm going to my first Miranda Lambert concert tonight! Woohoo!
I've always loved her, since I first saw her singing on her debut "Me and Charlie Talking" video many moons ago. She's really developed her style since then, and while I don't carry the nearly the grudges (wink) as she does, (jk) I really enjoy her music. And like watching Blake on "The Voice" (her husband) and think they're really an entertaining couple. They seem so real, and while they aren't necessarily role models in a lot of ways, I admire their commitment to each other in today's crazy celebrity culture. Cue hearts and arrows here...
I also am friends with a girl who graduated high school with Miranda in East Texas, so that's pretty fun. She says Miranda appears to be the same way she's always been, which is also refreshing in today's Land 'O Celebrities.
Do you like Miranda? Ever seen her live? I'm polishing my boots! :)

Mama needs a new pair of shoes...
So springtime always makes me want to buy shoes.
Embroidered cowboy boots. Cute little ballet flats with polka dots. Peep-toe 4 inch heels in a solid neutral. Low-heeled open sandals with bows.
I think it's time to find a shoe sale.
What about you? Does springtime ignite the whole "new shoe" fever in you too? :)

Blah humbug
So this is me today, just substitute the teddy bear for an advanced copy of Max Lucado's newest novel "You'll Get Through This".
The day home completely alone, to relax and read and doze, is actually pretty nice...would be nicer if my stomach wasn't in knots and I could eat more than Raman noodle soup and saltines. ;) But hey. Take the good with the bad.
Hence, this is all the blog post you're getting today.
